In 1966, the Sangha took its first step in education by starting Chembur Karnataka High School in a small garage. From these humble beginnings, the journey has been one of growth and transformation — from the garage, to the Natraj premises, and finally to the spacious Vidyasagar Campus in Chembur. Over the decades, the institution has earned respect and popularity through its nature-friendly environment, modern infrastructure, and commitment to quality education. The motto “Transforming Generations” continues to guide its mission, instilling both knowledge and human values in every student.
Building on this legacy, the Sangha established the Chembur Karnataka College of Law (CKCL) in 2017 as a premier Kannada Minority Institution dedicated to imparting quality legal education with practical training. The college was inaugurated under the auspices of Hon’ble Shri Justice Shivraj V. Patil, Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India.
CKCL initially launched the LL.B (3-Year Programme) in 2017. By 2019, it expanded its offerings with the B.L.S. LL.B (5-Year Programme) and the LL.M (2-Year Programme), offering four specializations:
Notably, CKCL became the first college under the University of Mumbai to receive permission to start an LL.M Programme outside the Department of Law. The institution further expanded by introducing Postgraduate Diploma Courses (1-Year Programme) in Human Rights, Cyber Law, and Intellectual Property Rights. In 2023, CKCL was also granted permission by the University of Mumbai to establish a Research Centre.
With its strong foundation, progressive vision, and modern facilities, CKCL continues to prepare students for the dynamic world of law while upholding its values of discipline, ethics, and service to society.
Secure your seat at CKCL and step into a world of opportunities.
