An Electoral Literacy Club is a platform to engage students through interesting activities and hands-on experience to sensitise them on their electoral rights and familiarise them with the electoral process of registration and voting. At Electoral Literacy Club activities and seminars are designed to stimulate and motivate students provoking them to think and ask questions. Electoral literacy club aims at strengthening the culture of electoral participation among young and future voters.
OBJECTIVES:
o. The main objective of ELC is to promote awareness of ‘Right to vote’ among students, faculty members and community at large.
o. To enable critical thinking on issues related to election rights, democracies and its processes.
o. Electoral Committee works to educate the future voters about enrolment, and other electoral process like EVM/VVPAT.
o. To develop a culture of electoral participation and maximise the ethical voting and follow the principle ‘Every vote count’s’ and ‘No voters to be left behind’.
